Alan Parsons como productor, ingeniero y compositor, y Eric Woolfson como productor ejecutivo, compositor y vocalista, lideraron el grupo británico de rock progresivo formado en 1975 The Alan Parsons Project. Se rodearon de una serie de músicos de estudio excelentes y vocalistas para cada uno de sus proyectos con una producción exquisita, a la vez que creatibidad e imaginación musical muy destacada. La calidad de Alan Parsons esta fuera de toda duda por sus trabajos en "Abbey Road" de los Beatles, para Paul McCartney, Al Stewart o el "The Dark Side Of The Moon" de los Pink Floyd.

Son varios las canciones que se podrían destacar de este proyecto vanguardista en su concepto y clásico por su contenido. "I Robot", "Sirius", "Lucifer", "Eye in the Sky", "Pyramania" o "Mammagamma", son ejemplos de su música inspirada en la fascinación por lo místico del pasado, la pérdida de valores humanos, y lo inquietante por un futuro desconocido.
